An interesting contention.
If you can pardon my, well, pedantic (my wife would use either 'fussy' or 'nit-picky', depending on her mood) ways, let me spell out your hypothesis in a way that makes more sense for my way of thinking.
(probably due to just one or many too many higher math courses;
did not stop till I got to differential equations where math stopped being just fun and instead was a whole lot of work).
Lvl 6 Barbarian
M: 4
WS: 5
BS: 3+
S: 4
Dam: 2D6
T: 4
W: ~30
I: 5
Att: 3
Luck: 2
Wp: 4
Pinning: 5+
Skills: Battle Rage {+1Att/BL OR +1to-hit/BL OR +2S/BL (ALL for 1t)} + 3 others
Beserk: +1 Att
Rending Sword: +2D6 Dam; Nat. to-hit = 5/6 = -2Arm
Chalice of Battle: +1Att; +1to-hit; +D6 Dam
SO:
Option 1 {+1Att/BL} :
Att: 3 + 1 + 6 + 1 = 11;
to-hit: 2,3,3,3,3,4,4,4,4,4;
Dam: 5D6 @ S4.
Option 2 {+1to-hit/BL} :
Att: 3 + 1 + 1 = 5;
to-hit: 2,2,2,2,3,3,3,3,3,4;
Dam: 5D6 @ S4.
Option 3 {+2S/BL} :
Att: 3 + 1 + 1 = 5;
to-hit: 2,3,3,3,3,4,4,4,4,4;
Dam: 5D6 @ S16.
Quite an engine of destruction no matter which option.
But Sir Questalot, you forgot the "frosting" for this "gourmet Barbarian cupcake" of yours: a Time Freeze Ring!
Do you have suggestions on how to do this with the other 13 adventurers?
If yes, do tell please.

battle rage is the best (most powerful) barbarian skill.
that said I think a hydra sword would be better!!
rending sword for every turn use, hydra sword for battle rage turn.
as for other warriors it is very open but I think dwarves have the winning ticket (except battle rage) due to basically saying "as other warrior but with 2 runes per level as well"
--- most of my posts may run into essay length. I find that for a lot of queries/feedback context is important and that is why this happens more often than not.

the last Quest! Frosting!!!
Not to be nit-picky but the option 2
"to-hit" line should read all 2's.
With +7 to hit, u only miss on a roll of 1!

Sorry Sir Q, but no.
Last I was informed by Andy J, granted, it was 20 years ago, an adventurer cannot hit better than the WS 10 line, which is the to-hit line I used for Option 2.

I think +1 to hit is different than +1 to Weapon Skill.
+1 to hit is a modifier to the dice roll. So, a roll of 2, becomes a roll of 3. Or, if a Warrior has +7 to hit, a roll of 2 would be a modified dice roll of 9.
Weapon Skill shows us the dice roll needed to hit when comparing one model's Weapon Skill versus their enemy's Weapon Skill.
The Rule of 1 and 6 tell us that no matter how many modifiers up or down we have on a dice roll, a natural 1 always fails and a natural 6 always succeeds.
Anyway, I agree with Sir Questalot in the practical dice roll result of only needing a 2+ to hit when you have +7 to hit as your modifier; BUT, I agree with Warrior Monk, that the actual Weapon Skill chart, does NOT change.
