Ogre training
Hi folks in DB 3 it states that : "On the battle level profile, you will see that it costs more for Ogres to train to go up a level, This is because it is difficult to train an Ogre, as explained, and also because Ogres aren't that quick when it comes to negotiating fees."
Yet when referrring to said battle level table the ogres gold fee is identical to other warriors.
Is there a group consenus onwhat "costs more" means? I was thinking of 1.5 X normal cost, so 3000 for first level.
Thoughts? Opinions?
Cheers,
Andrew

Re: Ogre training
That's a good question; I never paid attention and just assumed they meant that the Ogre tends to lose a good part of his Gold and Treasure (remember you have to roll a die to see if you get exp for each Monster) ... I bet that line was from an earlier version of the character and Andy jones just decided to keep the table the same as everyone else's.

Re: Ogre training
well considering my ogre has 3880 gold after giving at least a third away to other warriors (from the dice rolls, - not intentionally) and we still have four rooms to go (its the fountain of light quest where you look in the waters and then have to go through 1d6 dungeon rooms to get out) I think that losing gold isn't going to worry him. Anyone else want to weigh in?
Cheers,
Andrew

Re: Ogre training
I can't remember exactly what we did as it was a while ago when we last played him, but it was something along the lines of costing an extra 50% to train. So, the same as your suggestion.
Although when he gets to Battle Level 10, it's going to cost a considerable amount more. We didn't get that far to test it out though as he ended up dying.
