Re: Spending points for attributes
Morheim has maximum racial attributes for most of the standard races in the Warhammer Worlds (it's in the section on leveling) including Vampires and such. They're really good guidelines and seem to be compatible with what you see in the newest Warhammer Battle game as well.
However, I think that humans have a maximum of SIX in areas such as Weapon Skill and Initiative (which makes sense since the system only goes to 10 and Elves and Vampires are supposed to be faster, better, etc.) and I know that there are WHQ characters who go past those racial limits. Still, I abide by those limits when making my own classes since they make more sense.

Pit Armor
I'm trying to figure out how pit armor works. It seems you have to buy 4 pieces of pit armor just to get +1 armor, everywhere.
I have 1600 gold, can I buy it all at once?
Is pit armor cumulative- if you get it twice in the same place, does that give you +2?
It seems that the pit fighter can't wear armor or helmets either from the armourer or the treasure cards. Is this true? If not, how does it work?

Re: Spending points for attributes
You have the idea right- myself I think it is a pretty bad one.
I don't think it is cumulative, but that is a good idea.
Maybe i'll write some rules for it...

Re: Spending points for attributes
There's a typo in my pdf file for Pit Fighter. How many wounds are you supposed to add at the Fighting School on a roll of 7?

Re: Spending points for attributes
Actually, the Fighting School is pretty good, considiering that it is free to enter, and is found on a 6+. Most of the warrior-specific activities cost in the region of 1D6x50 or more.

Re: Spending points for attributes
Not to mention that if you get a 12 on 2D6 and are not a Pit Fighter, then you can gain an extra permanent statistic. Thats very good for a free place to visit every settlement where there is hardly anything bad that can happen to you at all.

Re: Spending points for attributes
The early 2nd Ed articles you're talking about are at the Slayer's Quest Tomb.
Hmmm, I should write a quest set in the abandoned Slayer's Quest Tomb.....
