I sometimes have different parties competing against each other in WHQ, and each one will have a dungeon deck of 6 cards, starting from a different side of the table each. The last card will lead to a T-junction if there's 3 enemies playing for example. So I guess that's another way to explore a dungeon.nondisclosed_email@example.com (BassJam)Sat, 13 Sep 2003 00:17:30 +0000 Re: DCQ Queryhttps://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p554206,from=rss#post554206https://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p554206,from=rss#post5542061. Minions, as stated in the rules, are not represented by models. 2. Board sections, as NOT stated in the rules (I had to ask him) are joined when the sections naturally touch. With a few 2nd edition changes to setup, this happens quite naturally.nondisclosed_email@example.com (drayncombat)Fri, 12 Sep 2003 10:43:15 +0000 Re: DCQ Queryhttps://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p554205,from=rss#post554205https://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p554205,from=rss#post554205I've just had a muse over the rules. I'm not sure on the following points 1 Are the minions and slaves actually represented? 2 How does one dungeon join onto the other? Can you dig into someone else's dungeon? That's fine. Just remember that the new rules aren't out yet, so hold on just a few more days.nondisclosed_email@example.com (drayncombat)Thu, 11 Sep 2003 13:12:43 +0000 Re: DCQ Queryhttps://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p554203,from=rss#post554203https://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p554203,from=rss#post554203Gotcha. My group has been talking about playing your game, but haven't done it yet. I might just add pockets of Dwarfs defending the remains of their hold in certain areas of the dungeon just for interest (it would be like the neutral territories in Risk). That way, players can have the fun of killing them.nondisclosed_email@example.com (BassJam)Thu, 11 Sep 2003 01:30:47 +0000 Re: DCQ Queryhttps://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p554202,from=rss#post554202https://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p554202,from=rss#post554202Good Races as playable races are our last of lastest priorities. They'd need new treasures, new locations, new...uggglglglgggg... There will, however, be wandering parties of good races you can beat down and torture to your side (if you have a torture chamber) once our Random Monster list comes out. The Lizardmen will be the first to appear in army format with the Slaan Path scenario in New Lustria, Albion (yeah....I made the name up). But you'll need the skills of my gaming group (converting Warhammer to WHQ at a glance) to do it. Sorry.nondisclosed_email@example.com (drayncombat)Wed, 10 Sep 2003 12:33:10 +0000 Re: DCQ Queryhttps://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p554201,from=rss#post554201https://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p554201,from=rss#post554201Monsters aren't the only races fighting over the riches of the Undermount! Will the 2nd edition have rules for Dwarves seeking to reclaim their abandoned Dwarfhold or others who may have just as much to gain from conquering the dungeon as Undead or Chaos Dwarves? I've also heard rumors that Lizardmen still lurk abandoned by the Slann in heated caverns even deeper in the earth.nondisclosed_email@example.com (BassJam)Tue, 09 Sep 2003 01:27:38 +0000 Re: DCQ Queryhttps://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p554200,from=rss#post554200https://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p554200,from=rss#post554200Thank you, Bruno. A little while ago, my gaming group started our Second Edition conversion of DCQ. This version's primary changes include new army lists and a better Combat system that actually allows two players to beat each other if no one else shows up (the new army lists are THAT ballanced). Anyway, we're going to release tutorials to get you through your first complicated game of DCQ (it's mostly charts, anyway). We wanted to know what areas need larger tutorials, er something.nondisclosed_email@example.com (drayncombat)Sun, 07 Sep 2003 12:54:50 +0000 Re: DCQ Queryhttps://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p554199,from=rss#post554199https://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p554199,from=rss#post554199Dungeon Conquest http://www.angelfire.com/rpg2/viconius/ quote:Dungeon ConQuest is a Warhammer Quest "Variant" -- an adaptation and expansion of the rules for warhammer quest to alter the game's center of emphasis from the adventures of a small band of warriors in the underworld to the struggle between various forces in the underworld itself, the battles and conflicts between dungeon overlords in the absence of warrior's plundering their objective rooms. In Dungeon ConQuest each player chooses a race of monsters (an army list if you will), and with a small amount of starting territory and forces explores and expands his domain eventually clashing and either conquering or falling victim to the aggessions of his rivals. While most of the rules and elements in WHQ and Dungeon ConQuest are similar, gone are the warriors, gone are the moral complexities of the saintly hero -- Everyone is evil, and you'll have to be cunning and ruthless to emerge the victor. Prepare thyself, rally your agents, your soldiers and your minions -- and enter the fray of Dungeon ConQuest! nondisclosed_email@example.com (Bruno)Sun, 07 Sep 2003 06:15:12 +0000 Re: DCQ Queryhttps://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p554198,from=rss#post554198https://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p554198,from=rss#post554198Just one question, what the &E$#% is DCQ?? nondisclosed_email@example.com (Glitch)Sun, 07 Sep 2003 04:29:13 +0000 DCQ Queryhttps://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p554197,from=rss#post554197https://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p554197,from=rss#post554197I'm aware of my name. Quiet. The rules of DCQ Ed 2 are under scrutinty of two of the most ruthless people in the world - Vince himself and my #1 tester - and that leaves my hands free to do light grunt work like the Getting Started Article. I need to know from anyone who has played DCQ/attempted to play DCQ/saw the rules and ran what they did not understand or what elements of the game they think could use more explainations. I'd like to cover a few general conserns immediately, followed by Tutorials to help people get through that monster of a rulebook Thanks!
