That's interesting. I sometimes have different parties competing against each other in WHQ, and each one will have a dungeon deck of 6 cards, starting from a different side of the table each. The last card will lead to a T-junction if there's 3 enemies playing for example. So I guess that's another way to explore a dungeon.
