posticon Riders and Ridden

Are there any rules to govern warriors taking animals into combat? Specifically, has anyone got statistics for Mules, Horses, Warhorses etc?
Just wondering...

Re: Riders and Ridden

Whenever I want to incorporate something of the sort (besides just adding the simulated +1 like in the rules) I look to Mordheim, which has often already covered simple rules for stuff like that. Of course, the Mordheim info on mounts is to be found in a "Best of Town Cryer" book which non-players might not be interested in. But Mordheim rules for skirmishes are the best way to actually play through an outdoors scenario. Just use their ranges for bows/spears etc. as well as spotting hidden enemies, and substitute WHQ Wounds and combat rules. It works great if you already have a handle on the rules for one or both of the games...

Re: Riders and Ridden

Thanks guys. I found a couple of bits that I'm weaving into yet another collection of unplaytested and flawed rules.
Hurrah!
Sorry. Actually there is a great document called (predictably) Blazing Saddles, and I'm converting most of the info over verbatum. One question though, what amount of Wounds would be suitable for a mount? the 1-3 range in most GW games is always tricky to translate.
Cheers
