Hi Geek,

Being almost as geekish as you are or perhaps even more so, do you have an example of your cards online?

I fear I'm totally card-crazy...

I wonder...

Re: Making WHQ board sections + cards

*scrambles through his office looking for an old cd with the right stuff on it*

I had a computer accident quite some time ago and lost a very large WQ project I had been working on, the Idex cards were part of that... along with the MS Word templates I had made for them. I may still find some parts though... I will get back to it (it's not very hard since you and Andrew already did most of the work that was on them emoticon ).

However, I did find my older system of converting the cards down to 'business card' size. All you have to do is print onto business card sheets that are available at walmart, office supply stores, etc., and they turn out sort of like monopoly sized cards. I currently have templates and finished sheets (including a sheet with all of the backs in place) for the following types of card:

Dungeon (Includes all from the Original Boxed set, Lair of the Orc Lord and most, if not all of the sections found on your WQ website, Plus a 'Mines' set I found somewhere on the web. Also have Special sheets made for the backs of Ice and Mines cards if you want to keep them apart)I thought I had Lustria and Nehekhara done as well... can't seem to find them emoticon Oh well... I'll have to make those

Treasure (Oh... crap! I am still missing stuff! All I see here is the backs for Treasure Cards. I'll have to keep digging cause I know I made a LOT of treasure cards. Well... I do have a sheet formatted for all of the backs right now)

Event (Many event sheets made up. they have a sheet of backs as well. I also made a sheet of Event cards that tell you to roll on the event table. I was planning to have extra event tables for various dungeon styles... never got that far emoticon

By the time I started to work on getting all of the spells onto cards, I was also working towards a hazards deck which created the necessity for the larger cards (I really hope that I find them).
The index size makes it possible to make really great event cards with tables and stuff.

I am now noticing that the pictures I had on the monster event cards are no longer pictures, but some funky icon-thing... Never trust CD's, I guess emoticon
But the cards are still good without the monster pics... and it is easy to add your own pics too!

I don't have any webspace, nor do I know how to use html or anything like that...
I would be happy to send you anything you like though.

I am MUCH busier with work now, than I was back then... so it may be alittle while before I get a new set of index cards created... we'll see.

I do love using cards in the game, though... that, the tiles and the cool mini-system is what dragged me from D&D over to GW...

Too bad that GW keeps kicking me by discontinuing games before I complete their incomplete collections! Oh well emoticon

I'll try to hurry and get a few packs of index card sheets so I can get the ball rolling again. I'll probably begin those with stuff I don't already have done for business cards first (spell and hazard), then move on to events and dungeons. I may just stick with business card size for treasure... hmmm... we'll see.

Nonetheless, if you'd like to see my old b-cards, I have them. It would take me some time to compress and e-mail them, unless you have a place I could upload?

I just packed up the older stuff I was talking about above. Comes to 9.51 MB in RAR archive, or 10.6 in ZIP

I may have to split if you want them emailed to you.

*taps the microphone lightly*
Hmmm... is this thing on?

Anyways, turns out that my injury at work may lay me up for a while, so I'm gonna get busy on re-building my Advanced Warhammer Quest supplement. Most of it is still fresh in my mind, though it has been at least a year or so since I made it... probably more like 2.

I know you guys are working on a second edition, and I don't want to compete with that in any way, but rather enhance the game as it is for those of us who stick with the original rules.

The Easy-to-Use print-out cards are a comin'!

Oh... and I may be getting some free webspace... we'll see.
