Magic Spears
Did a search and did not find anything on this topic so I was curious.
My Elven ranger is a typical spear and shield using elf. Most magic items come in blade and hammer form however and no spears which kind lowers the offensive powers of my Ranger.
Now to the point of the post. I know spears can be thrown(I seriously have not had a reason to randomly hurl my weapon at a foe yet since I also have a bow), but would it be acceptable to say if you find a parrying blade it may be in spear form?
I know in RPG form this wouldn't be much of an issue, but at this time I am currently still trying to get players to joinme in a weekly gaming sesson. So this mainly is in regards to the normal 2-player version using some of the rules from the RPG book.

Re: Magic Spears
There are many ways to handle this problem. One that comes to mind is to roll a die every time the Treasure cards say you found a magic blade. On a 5 or 6 it's actually a Spear! That you can use!
So it's possible that you may find a Spear of Heroes, or a Biting Blade in spear form.
