Just a few questions & looking for help


Whats up guys? Been playing for about 8 years now & finally am looking for some answers to a few queries.

1. We play where a hero has to heal themselves with some type of healing item as soon as they drop below 1. Hence if a monster attacks a hero 6 times dropping him as he is bandaging himself then he must use 6 bandages to stay alive. To me the way the rules work it is tooo easy to have invincible heroes. But this way characters are wasting all there money on carrying 50+ bandages and such. I like the rule but it just doesnt seem feasable.

2. Did they ever put a limit on the number of armor a pit fighter can put on one body segment. According to the book there is no limit as long as he pays 400 per piece.

Have more questions but will front few at a time.

But they can't heal themselves with ordinary healing items when they go below 1; someone else of the party has to do it, and it's a risky attempt as well (check [sign in to see URL] of the RP book).
They can use magic healing items, but you usually don't have loads of those around...
I've bent the rules more than once to keep those flimsy fighters of us (more or less) alive...

Yeah thats the only reason we changed it was especially in the first game you play nobody has any magical healing stuff so one hit from a minotaur and there is nothing you can do about it your dead.

When running the game I do something funny emoticon Say a Minotaur has two Attacks and takes down a Warrior with the first one. He'll go down to 0 Wounds and then the Mino will ignore him until the end of the Turn as per the rules. But if the Warrior is foolish enough to drink a Heal Potion or if the Wizard heals him before I move on to the next Monster's go, the Mino will grin and bring his axe down on the poor sap, most likely bringing him down a second time! :bad:

Otherwise though, your Warriors are being foolish to heal themselves before the VERY end of the turn is how I interpret your story... a waste of healing items! You cannot go below 0 in the regular rules after all... (though the Giant rules suggest it is possible to keep track just to see if Warriors die at -50)
