To simplify these rules, each item type is listed underneath its appropriate storage, which is also illustrated on the updated Warrior Record Sheet. If a Warrior cannot carry an item, as he has already reached his limit - he must pass it to another Warrior or lose it permanently. - Coin Purse: A Warrior may carry any amount of gold with them. - Knapsack: A Warrior is limited to 7 individual items in his Knapsack. This includes potions, bandages, scrolls, treasure and any other form of item (pipes, books, etc.). - Provisions Bag: A Warrior is limited to 4 individual edible items. This includes cheese, bread, herbs, etc. - Hands (Active items): A Warrior may carry two single-handed weapons, a double-handed weapon, a bow or a single-handed weapon and shield. Also, items such as a books, scrolls or staffs may be used in one hand. - Holster: An additional weapon, shield, book or staff may be holstered. Effects from using these items do not apply until the items swapped to his hands (for example, a shield will not give the bearer + 1 toughness for being holstered on his back). - Amour: A Warrior may only use one set of boots, gloves, armour, cloak or helm at the same time. Any additional pieces of armour that he cannot wear must be placed in his Holster or Knapsack (and he does not gain their effects). - Equipment: There is no limit to wearing any other item that is not armour. This includes: necklaces, bracelets, broaches or stones (can be worn as necklaces, placed on armour, etc.) This fan supplement give rule for passing (and change?) items quote:Passing Items to Others Passing any item, equipment or weapon between Warriors can be done at any time during their tum, but only before combat. - Any item can be thrown to a Warrior, no matter their current mental or physical status, however they may not be able to use it. - Any amount of items can be passed to another Warrior in a single tum. Passing items between Warriors can be done so over a total of three squares, including the squares the Warriors are standing in. This can be done even if a Monster occupies the square between both Warriors, but not through walls or corners. - You may string together Warriors, so passing objects can be done along a chain in a single turn. After or during a Warrior's single attack, he cannot take part in receiving any physical object until the next turn. nondisclosed_email@example.com (DreadaxeFr)Thu, 23 Dec 2021 03:20:23 +0000 Re: Encumbrance Ruleshttps://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p563741,from=rss#post563741https://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p563741,from=rss#post563741WFRP2 Encunmbrance https://online.flippingbook.com/view/105474/104/ WFRP1 have the same thing HeroQuest idea nondisclosed_email@example.com (DreadaxeFr)Thu, 23 Dec 2021 03:06:58 +0000 Re: Encumbrance Ruleshttps://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p556209,from=rss#post556209https://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p556209,from=rss#post556209quote:Bruno wrote: Thanks a lot I'll have a look. For example, I still use Gold for training instead of exp and don't desire to make WHQ as sophisticated as other Roleplaying games. On the other hand, I have always been interested in overhauling the magic system, but I don't know that I'm on same page as everyone else with that... nondisclosed_email@example.com (BassJam)Wed, 25 May 2005 09:00:03 +0000 Re: Encumbrance Ruleshttps://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p556207,from=rss#post556207https://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p556207,from=rss#post556207Wow Art you're back That's a great news, we begin to work on the 2nd ed. These rules are not meant to be realistic so much as to keep my brother from hoarding all the Treasure cards :b WHQ ENCUMBRANCE (or Monty Haul?) 1. Every character can wear the items of armor allowed by their race/class and carry two hands worth of equipment for free. For example: two sword, sword and shield, sword and bow, etc. 2. WHQ is a game of quick equipment changes involving such items as one-use shields, etc. so STR determines how many items can be kept at the ready (slung over the shoulder, worn on the back, etc.) for quick switches of what is held or wielded. If a character is STR 1, then 1 extra item may be held at the ready. Add 1 extra item per STR point. (Example: Ragdarock the Barbarian is STR 3 and is traveling with a Lantern and a Sword in hand and a Shield at the ready. He could also be traveling about with a special one-use Shield and a Bow as well with no penalties.) For purposes of this rule, remember two things: it applies only to the Lantern, Weapons and Shields only. Also, Bows and Staves count as one-handed weapons for encumbrance purposes, while two-handed weapons count as, er, two. 3. Daggers, knives, pistols and throwing stars don't count as weapons for encumbrance because they are supposed to be weapons that can be whipped out in an emergency. Also, this makes them ideal weapons for weaker characters. 4. Characters can carry one item of armor in their packs above and beyond what they may wear for each two points of Strength on their profile. This applies for each body location, so a STR 4 Barbarian can wear a full suit of armor and still carry two pairs of gauntlets, two helmets, etc. 5. The exception to rule 4 is that a character may only ever carry one extra suit of armor or breastplate. 6. All other items and equipment such as one-use items, potions and scrolls are unlimited in number, and you still may hoard as many of these and as much gold as your greedy heart desires. 7. For each infraction of the above rules, your character is at -1 Movement per turn, and must drop equipment or have Strength spells cast upon them in order to move normally. The only other way to get around this is to use optional Henchman rules.nondisclosed_email@example.com (BassJam)Tue, 24 May 2005 08:50:32 +0000 Re: Encumbrance Ruleshttps://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p556205,from=rss#post556205https://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p556205,from=rss#post556205quote:An Heroes can have F*100 points of encumbrance. As most items have a Gold value use that to count towards encumberance. Maybe some items can be created to add or decrease how much a player can carry.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Evilupstart)Wed, 11 May 2005 04:48:06 +0000 Re: Encumbrance Ruleshttps://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p556203,from=rss#post556203https://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p556203,from=rss#post556203Thanks a lot I'll have a look. nondisclosed_email@example.com (Bruno)Mon, 09 May 2005 17:31:48 +0000 Re: Encumbrance Ruleshttps://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p556202,from=rss#post556202https://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p556202,from=rss#post556202Salut If you play to WFRPv2 or v1 you can find encumbrance of a lot of items. So... I play WHQ as classic D&D style, in the same world too. The rules below are "house" rules used for my campaigns. DETERMINATE THE ENCOUMBRANCE VALUE: F X 10 X Size Q Size Q is definate by the WHFB stand size: 1 little (As animal, dog etc...): 2x2 cm Q= 0.5 2 human: 2x2 cm Q= 1.5 3 great: 2.5x2.5 cm and horse Q= 3 4 huge: 4x4cm Q= 5 5 Colossal: 5x5cm Q= 10 You need to determinate all values for ich item. But, more simply, you can use the "stock" value equipment tables. In fact, the ending result is almost the same. You can give at your warriors a holy bag too HARENDAL.h nondisclosed_email@example.com (harendal)Sat, 07 May 2005 19:49:45 +0000 Encumbrance Ruleshttps://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p556200,from=rss#post556200https://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p556200,from=rss#post556200I am looking for encumbrance rules.
