Hi all!


Well, i must admit i was distraught that the WQ museum closed. But on the other hand, i found this place emoticon.

Myself, i don't play WQ as often as i would like and i always have to be GM emoticon but me and my pals have some quality fun with it. I have been a long time game player etc etc and always spot flaws and imbalances in the rules, i just can't help it, and most of the time have to impliment my own rules to make the game more enjoyable.

Of course this had to be done with WQ but in no means is it a bad game, hence thats why there are places like this still around emoticon.

But i don't want to bore you guys with stuff you already know emoticon, just wanted to post to say hi and glad i found this place.

I have a few things i have written in word format that some of you guys might want to see. Nothing out of the ordinary, just a few things i wrote to spice up traveling and stuff... to stop the monotony of "oh, the witches cave again...." you know what i mean emoticon.

Couple of things before i go though.
First thing, i use D12's instead of D6's for the to-hit rolls. In all my time playing, i have not noticed any imbalance because of this. The reason? Makes WS more important.
Secondly, i see that most people think that the wizard is imbalanced.... yea i saw that immediatly. So i limited the wizard to 5 casts per spell but can choose which spells he starts with. Again, i have not noticed any ambalance in the game since i changed this.

Anyway, laters.... kudos for having this site so we can share ideas emoticon.

Glad you found this place.

Would you mind elaborating on how you use the D12 to do the to hit rolls? I am curious. If I like it enough I may try it out in my solo games for a while. emoticon

Also, I would like to see your Word files if you don't mind emailing them.

Perhaps I can share some of the unofficial stuffs you might be interested in if you missed downloading any from the Museum that you wanted.

EDIT: I should say I am willing to share waht I have. I don't have anywhere near all that was in the Museum.

Sure. emoticon
Its simple really, 50% chance of hitting someone with the same WS. So if you're a BL1 barby, you require a 7+ to hit someone WS3. Then i just +1 for each WS more and -1 for each WS less:
WS---- 1-2-3-4-5--6--7--8--9-10
TO HIT 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 12 12
Does that make sense? (sorry about the shoddy diagram)

The problem is, i don't know what i want emoticon. I used to just like wandering around the site, it truely was a museum. The thing i used to like was the characters, but out of all of them i only grabbed 3: darkelf assassin, bowman of bergerac and the necromancer (Christopher Taylor). apart from them i didn't see a character what suited my games... maybe i didn't look hard enough emoticon.

I find your 1D12 To Hit Chart interesting and will probably try it in a game or two for kicks. emoticon I love variety. Who knows, maybe it will become standard fair in my solo games.

ALSO, I am working on my own website to host custom characters and etc.... I am currently having trouble getting MS Frontpage to work with my website and still be able to use ftp for uploadind loads of files (EDIT: I am now using FrontPage to develop the webpages with manual links and am uploading them by ftp. This avoids having to enable and disable FrontPage extenxions). Eventually, I will be posting the link to my new website -- as soon as I get things worked out. (EDIT: Now I am inviting people to visit.)
