Large Monsters

Does anyone have any additional rules for Large Monsters beyond what is outlined on pg 82 of the roleplay book? Specifically, I was wondering about these points:

Can Large Monsters cross the Fire Chasm without rolling?

Do Large Monsters suffer to-hit penalties for attcking a model on a square that is on a different height?

Can Large Monsters get through doorways to chase fleeing, screaming, Warriors who ran into a Giant 2 levels too soon?

Cheers,

I like these questions.

A further note on the Firechasm: Minotaurs are allowed to jump across without using the bridge in the "Destroy the Bridge" adventure. So, I would think many, if not all Large Monsters would be able to do so too.

I do think that a GM, or even players using the random generation system (without GM), could impose some sensible house rules on the Large Monster types. Depending upon how involved one wants to get in making the game more like "real life", Large Monsters could become even more complicated than they already are. emoticon

But, I don't know of any rules anyone has created. There certainly must be some somewhere. emoticon

"Do Large Monsters suffer to-hit penalties for attcking a model on a square that is on a different height?"

We've always played it as no, they don't get the penalty. 1) logically it seems they are tall enough to be at eye level on a second hight and 2)based off the rules for WHFB.

"Can Large Monsters get through doorways to chase fleeing, screaming, Warriors who ran into a Giant 2 levels too soon?"

We always play that bit things can get through door ways based on the part in the rule book that says something along the lines of anyone can hit them cause their movement is so big and fluent. I imagine something big could just ebnd down and get through the door way (or else how the hell did it get there in the first place?).

hehe, if they keep rolling 66 on the monster table you could do a Smaug kind of thing. (The Monster got bigger inside the chamber for example.)

Isn't there something about momentom? Like once a large monster has been moving very fast in one direction - it has a hard time changeing direction quickly. Kind of a "bill-run" type of thing.
