Random Quest Generator

A random quest generator is now under construction -- accessible from the dropdown menu on the Stronghold's home page. I liked the tip of the day feature so much that I decided to make a quest generator using the same web tool. The generator currently only has about five or six quests/quest ideas in it, but more should be added soon.

Anyone wanting to submit quests/quest ideas to add to the generator, please contact Old Warrior. I will gladly give credit to the writer/originator of the quests/ideas. If you would prefer a pseudo name, please also include it.

More Quests!

Added to the Custom Tables page: New Adventures table by Kestrelstart, which has 28 adventures for several different Objective Rooms. This document has been made Internet friendly (hopefully) with Table of Contents bookmark links. Also brief descriptions from all twenty-eight of these have been added to the Random Quest Generator, giving a total of 34 random quests available.

Another Random Quest Generator

This is provided as a means of selecting random adventures from the Adventure Book. Therefore, only the Objective Room name, the adventure number, and the adventure title are given. To properly use the quests there generated, one must have a copy of the Adventure Book that came with the Warhammer Quest game.

Two New Warrior Party Composition Tools Created

Old Warrior has revised, expanded, expounded, and etc in the effort of producing two new versions of the Warrior Party Composition tool. One is strictly for choosing from Official and Semi-official warriors to make up a party and the other is greatly expanded to include also most of the custom warriors available on the custom Character page of Old Warrior's Stronghold.

The healers were given special attention as to how well and how consitently they can heal. Therefore, they have been colour-coded within the expanded version to help players make quick comparisons.

Here are the links for anyone who would like to check these tools out.

Re: NEW: Old Warrior's Website -- WQ Resource (will post custom characters - over 90 so far))

Wow! It is hard to believe that I am posting to this topic again. But, I really want people to be able to find Old Warrior's Stronghold, because I believe it could be a great resource for those who like to use custom stuff in their games.

Also, for those who miss the Museum, many of the goodies that could be found there are now available on my website, though admittedly it is not even nearly all of it.

This is a good place to mention that I would be glad to post many custom documents anyone might have or might have gotten from the Museum.

I have been working full-time lately, so updating the Stronghold has slowed way down, but I am still kicking -- and kicking the monsters especially. emoticon

New Feature Page

Periodically, I intend to feature some custom warrior or other item.

Currently, in the very first feature, I am giving the spotlight to "The Citizen", created by Luminos and modified by Old Warrior (in version 2.0 and now 2.1 for further minor modifications).

This character may not yet be perfect, but has some great potential I think, especially for those who like to customize their warrior's development.

Here is a link to the new feature page:

The Jaedai (Jedi) and Saedith (Sith) Custom Warriors

This following post -- a separate topic here at the Warhammer Quest forum -- will likely become the basis for a new feature page on my website, but I wanted to write here while the thoughts keep flowing through my keyboard. emoticon

]The Jaedai (Jedi) and Saedith (Sith) Custom Warriors

quote:

I have labored long and hard to try to come up with a Warhammer Quest (Old World) version of a Force-using fighter type. I don't care for bringing much high-tech stuff into a custom creation like this, so I tried to take the ideas of others (especially of Raven and Darkside) and added some of my own along with many modifications.

Because of some serious differences between the Jaedai and the Saedith, I have separated their rules into two documents, which now appear this way in the Custom Characters page of my website (Old Warrior's Stronghold).

]The Jaedai

]The Saedith

Note: please keep in mind that the full rules -- especialy the advanced ones -- are subject to change in the very near future as I am currently having these Force users tested in a message board game and in one of my solo games as well AND since I admit that some portions of their rules are not yet completed (advanced rules mostly). Both of the above-mentioned warrior parties consist of two Jaedai and two Saedith.

I have tried to adapt as needed...

Re: NEW (in 2006): Old Warrior's Website -- WQ Resource (NEW: Feature Page))

I keep reading comments here in the WHQ forum such as "Where can I find custom materials" and "How about someone start up a new website for WHQ stuff..." and etc...

I certainly would encourage anyone who wishes to put in the labor and time and develop really nice websites, resources, and etc....

However, I just want to make sure that those who come upon this forum realize that Old Warrior's Stronghold already has a lot of custom stuff ready for the WHQ gamer to grab and use as they please.

AND, I give my permission for anyone to use what is found in Old Warrior's Stronghold in the creation of other WHQ websites and etc... As long as the user/borrower gives credit to the creator of each work/document that they post for public consumption. emoticon

I just do NOT post any of the official stuffs so that I do not have to worry about copyright infringements and etc...
