It seems I forgot to post here to indicate that I did finally make this the feature in the Old Warrior's Stronghold Feature Page.

New Custom Warrior and New Special Location

The Empire Soldier, by Don Farquhar, has just been added to Old Warrior's Stronghold. I really like this tough human fighter. I think that he helps to offset the bad wrap that human fighters often seem to get in the Warhammer World (Barbarian and Pit Fighter excluded, lol).

Empire Soldier

Along with this new character comes a new special location for many warriors to train and improve their chances to fight well in their next adventure.

Empire Army Camp

I may soon be featuring this new warrior in Old Warrior's Feature Page.

EDIT (8th of Feb. 2009): Well, I featured the Pit Fighter Revised first. Perhaps in two to three months I will feature the Empire Soldier as I had originally intended.

Re: Old Warrior's Warhammer Quest Website -- (site was new in 2006) (NEW: Feature Page))

The Halfling Dabbler, by SpinningDice, has been added to Old Warrior's Stronghold: Custom Characters page under the MAgical/Mental category.

This character is a dabbler in the magical arts. He is much like the Wizard, but not nearly as powerful and he does NOT have access to most of the Wizard's attack spells. He does however come with some Magical Acorns and the absolutely necessary Lunch Box. emoticon

I really like what I see so far in the rules for this character. They are complete with Advanced rules, though revisions may come in the future.

A Halfling Dabbler, Toddwin Longfoot by name, has just started out in a new story-based, forum-format, WHQ (LOTR themed) game, The Fate of Biblo Baggins.

Also, a new mapping method using html tables is being employed in that game.

Re: Old Warrior's Warhammer Quest Website -- (founded in 2006) (NEW: Feature Page)

Wow! It is hard to believe that I haven't posted anything to this topic since March of this year. I must be slipping. emoticon

There have been several updates, mostly small ones, to Old Warrior's Stronghold in this time period.

I have recently updated the format of several warriors so that people using almost any web browser ought to be able to view them.

Since the Museum is up and running again, I haven't seen the need to work as diligently upon my own website. However, I definitely intend to add more warriors and update the current ones.

Bruno has given me permission to include the warriors in his Museum. This might be a fairly big update, though I will likely leave out a few warriors that I don't think are viable options in their current state. Some seem to be needing more rules to make them into Player Characters, whereas they currently seem more like monsters, henchmen, or NPCs.

To see a full listing of updates to Old Warrior's Stronghold (with dates) you may click on this link: Updates to the Stronghold.

As usual, you may click on the Stronghold logo in my signature to enter at the main gate (home page).

I never read that Empire Soldier before - I really like the idea of that solid character and it looks well done...

Good for both a Henchman or a character in his own right!

Re: Old Warrior's Warhammer Quest Website -- (founded in 2006) (NEW: Feature Page)

Well, it isn't up and running yet -- nor am I really sure yet that it will be (emoticon), but I plan to add a Warhammer-Quest-A-Pedia (a wiki page) to the Stronghold. It would work similar to Wikipedia (or other wikis), but I would be diligent to avoid too much quoting of copyrighted materials. I am sure a sentence here and there and maybe even the occasional two to three paragraphs would be acceptable though.

Anyway, I intend to create this as a place to share my own commentary (of course), interpetation, and some basic defining (and/or redefining) of terms for the game.

What I am experimenting with is called TiddlyWiki, which has all the features of a wiki in only one html file. This should make updating the Warhammer-Quest-A-Pedia rather easy. Also, I think it might make downloading it for offline reference much easier as well.

EDIT: Here is a link to the beginning stages of this project. Don't worry, if you try to edit anything, it will not let you save it online emoticon

This TiddlyWiki seems quite handy for organizing all sorts of data.

Warhammer-Quest-A-Pedia

EDIT 2: I have officially added this wiki page to Old Warrior's Stronghold. I plan to update it from time to time with more complete information, commentary, more links and etc...

Thank you for your comments regarding my Empire Solider.

Glad to see some apprieciation for my 1st Character i have made myself.

I was inspired by all the unofficial stuff i found on Old Warriors, the Museum and Spike in the pits websites.

More new stuff to come from me in the future once i get round to it, lots of new ideas ratteling around in this head, i just need to stop and let one drop out every so often.

Another Update...

Well, this isn't huge, but I have added another Random Quest Generator to my site. This one has the THIRTY from the Adventure Book plus the SIX from Catacombs of Terror. One still must have the original materials to read the rules, but I often find random generators useful.

Here is the link: Official Adventures - Random Quest Generator
