Hi everybody !

Does anyone know a website which offers floorplans which can be used for an outside scenario?

Cheers,

The Dungeons and Dragons Board Game ([sign in to see URL]) has floorplans for outdoor adventures. Although bear in mind that the 'outdoor' floorplans do contain some 'indoor' floor spaces; you could consider these to be paved areas, enclosed buildings, or the entrances to dungeons.

I have been considering using the tiles from Heroscape ([sign in to see URL]) for outdoor adventures. I plan to build a large map featuring approximately as many floor spaces as for an average dungeon. Then use the HS glyphs as 'spawn points'. When the Heroes get within six spaces of a spawn point, draw an Event card and place the monsters! One would require a table/deck of 'outdoor' dungeon events, or just remove all non-monster events from the game. I don't see the conversion from squares to hexes being a problem as long as common sense is used; this isn't a miniatures battle, it's a co-op dungeon crawl.

The Lord of the Rings Tradeable Miniatures Game ([sign in to see URL]) comes with paper floorplans with a square grid. These floorplans should be available cheaply on Ebay.

There is also the Star Wars Miniatures game ([sign in to see URL]) for which you may be able to find free square grid maps on the internet. There are certainly maps of Dagobah (Yoda's swamp moon) and Tatooine desert out there. WHQ in the Death Star? Why not.

Bear in mind that both of these games' floorplans feature text and/or coloured lines for use with the original game rules, so they are not as clean as WHQ or D&D Boardgame tiles.
