per adventure/deep ?

hi folks.

in regards to items used once per adventure..

if you leave deep one, having used items once per adventure, spend time in town training up levels etc, then go back to continue deep two...
are you allowed to again use items once per adventure...i.e is each deep seperate if you leave between them ?
also does the wizard get his stored power tokens back ?
dungeon treasure cards returned to deck ?

cheers
mike

I see the rules for once per adventure as once per dungeon explored. The only exemption to this rule would be if you were doing a long adventure with several deeps in it and not going to a settlement inbetween, then it would be classed as once per the whole dungeon.

In the case of things like luck for re-rolls i use the rule that this are once per dungeon and the visit to the settlement afterwards as the rule book states "if a warrior has any luck rolls left then use them now"

Roleplaybook p. 149 Skills and Magic section. If you read those section you will know that each deep is treaten as separete adventure so items/skills that can be used once per adventure now are used once per deep.

Cheers JervI

ve never played a deep game, is this with the understanding that the warriors go away and come back to the deep after re-stocking their items at a settlement?

As if they go straight into the next deep surley that would me a contiunation of the dugeon/adventure as 1 not 2 seperate adventures?

Re: per adventure/deep ?

Here are some things that may or may not help.

Once per dungeon and once per adventure seem to be synonymous. I mean they seem to be treated the same as they relate to both treasures and skills which are once per adventure/dungeon.

Remember that these treasures and abilities were created with the basic/randomly-generated game in mind as for how long an adventure would normally last.

Let's see, 6 board sections, plus 1,2,3,4,5,6, or 7. So, up to 13 board sections. Exceptions go both higher and lower and do not necessarily negate the average of 7 to 13 board sections per adventure. TEN is the middle number. emoticon

Deep 1 of the RolePlay Book game has Eleven board sections. Deep 2 has 10. Deep 3 has 11.

I would say just based upon the length of these deeps, that the once per items could be reset as well as Luck. But, for full roleplay adventures like these, the GM would make the call.

Technically, it is one adventure, but really it is more like a campaign. I would say that if the party travels to town and back again that everything is reset and ready to use.

Again, we could think of it in terms of time. How long does it take the Warriors to get through Deep 1 and deep 2? Should we assume that the once per adventure items need time to regenerate their abilities? I haven't really thought about this, but maybe this would help us when we need to make these decisions.
