Re: Warhammer Quest 'Resurrection'

I gave your work a good look. It looks like you are really serious about this! So far so good! I suspect that it will end up being somewhere between the original WHQ and DnD when you get done. Sort of a Dungeon Bash (if you are familiar with that), but written in the Warhammer World.

Re: Warhammer Quest 'Resurrection'

well i'm trying to keep it simple, so people of all ages can play, and yes i'm keeping the 'dungeon bash' theme of the original whq strong, after all it is a miniatures game and not dnd.

I am also using the Warhammer Worlds rich background (and hence a lot of reseach into Warhammer fantasy role play) to keep the atmosphere strong, and pretty much following GW's format of using descriptive writing and awesome artwork to achieve this.

ATM i've pretty much used the original rulebook as a template so that my version does not stray far from the orignal, and it also helps me make sure i don't miss anything!

My take on this project is that it will be a downloadable torrent or folder, which contains everything needed to play (apart from dice, minis etc..) so that ANYONE can play without having to get hold of a copy of the orignal oop boxset. I will also include 'hobby guides' in the book to inspire terrain, board pieces, miniatures etc, just as gw does atm.

Bottom line, i'm trying to reprint whq as i think gw would, because they're not. Get it?

so far, im up to monster placement, which will be kept the same, and painfully trying to re-write a brief introduction to the warhammer world from an adventurers point of view so someone who does not know warhammer, gets a good idea of its dark atmosphere (the warhammer of today - mordheim example).

I'll send you an update when i have a more completed verson and then you can re-view rule changes etc and gimme an overall opinion on anything you think might need tweeking, but as you can guess thats a long way off yet.

Again thanx for the support O.W it means a lot.

I am not sure what became of this work. The url for the group no longer works. I have older -- sort of inaccessible -- computer which would have any files Addz1845 had sent. But, just maybe I saved them to my WQ folder! I will need to research this...

I just found this group:

It seems that this is the new name of the group. However, it has been inactive for 2 years. Can't find my Yahoo ID right now. I'll check the content later if it's possible to join the group.
