Ex-Blood Bowl Player Revised/Expanded

I have to admit that i never really liked the concept of the Ex-Blood Bowl Player. But after reading the rules from the Citadel Journal i thought it was a fantastic idea.

Unfortunately, the rules were a mess, the equipment cards had mistakes and omissions, and the whole concept felt unfinished.

I have re-written, revamped, and expanded this Warrior and he is currently being play-tested in our latest adventure.

I will keep you posted on the progress.

If a few of you could just look at it and give some feedback, i'd really appreciate it!

He can be downloaded from my board in the Warriors Section:

]Warhammer Quest Customized

Yeah, the Ex-Blood Bowl Player and the Salty Seaman (I mean Seadog!) are battling it out to see who goes the longest without being picked by anybody I know.

BUT now we all got the Blood Bowl game which is currently on sale through Steam and are gonna have a tourney, so the Salty Seadog might win the contest after all.

And I guess it's a good excuse to get a Griff Oberwald mini. Thanks LittleMonk! I never got attached to the original rules so there's a good chance I'll use your version.

Our group is playing with Salty Seadog now as well as the Ex-Blood Bowl Player (Chaos Warrior and Wizard fill in the party).

I'll be analyzing and reviewing the Salty Seadog. We've just reached a city and i'm interested to see how that goes.

I'll keep everyone posted.

If anyone has some experience with the Salty Seadog, i'd love to hear your comments and feedback.

There's only one issue I have with that Seadog character (besides the silly name):

The Cutlass causes 1d6 Wounds + WS instead of Strength.

I love that rule: I first saw it for a Cathayan Sword. I think it works great for a Katana as well, and perhaps even a Rapier.

But what about the Cutlass helps it capitalize so well on the wielder's skill?

I would prefer: The Cutlass causes 1d6+(Str-1) Wounds and ignores 1 Point of the opponent's Armour.

My logic is because cutlasses were short swords that had excellent slashing penetration. Thoughts?
