Re: Tables

Have a table I need to clean up a bit before I'll feel brave enough to post it here.

It's a Noble's Event Table. Where players of the more 'Respectable' classes can got to instead of going to places like the tavern or the Pit Fighters School.

Hoping to get this done sometime this week, time permitting.

I do have a home made Level 5 random monster table. Some of the monsters on it are 'enhanced' earlier version and is set up more for the power gamer table.

If someone would like to take a look over that I can send it to them as a email. Word of warning, it's a microsoft excel worksheet.

Re: Tables

Got my table mostly cleaned up and it's ready for comments -

Here's my Noble's Event table for those warriors that like hanging out with the Rich and Powerful.

Noble's Event
Whenever a Noble likes to have a party, there’s a slim chance your warrior can get a invitation to the event. To get this invitation, the warrior must meet certain requirements and then be lucky enough that the event hasn’t already happened.

Requirements –
STEP 1: Clothes for the Event.
The warrior must be dressed in the latest fashions to both get the invitation and to attended the event. He can NOT be wearing the same clothes as that is considered ‘borish’. So the warrior will need to buy clothes for of the latest fashion for each day he’s looking for the event and then another set for the event. This can get expensive for the warrior as he might spend more then 1 day getting himself a invitation. (Example: Warrior takes 3 days to get a invitation (3 sets a fashionable clothes and then a day for the Event (1 more set of fashionable clothes.) These clothes can be found in the general store for 100gp per set.

STEP 2: Getting the invitation to the event.
While wearing the latest in fashions and visiting places where the Nobles hang out. Your warrior tries to get himself a invitation to the event. To get this invitation the warrior can find one on a roll of 12 when rolling the settlement type dice. Certain classes do get modifiers on ‘finding’ a invitation due to their connections with the nobility.
Noble's (+2), Priests (+1), Wizards, those of the dignified persuasion, Non-Human (-1), Barbarian, common fighter type (-2). Use the highest positive and the highest negative modifier only.

STEP 3: Date of the Event.
Only one Noble’s Event is held while the warriors are in town. To find out which day it is held on, roll 2D6+2. That will be the day of the event. It is possible that the warrior has spent lots of money on gearing up for this event and then due to settlement events or just unlucky on getting the invitation will end up missing the event.

Roll 1D12 -
1 Fined all your gold and tossed out of the settlement as a quack and a fake.

2 Get into a theological argument with the host. Tossed out of settlement and loose 1 l item.

3 Get into a political argument with host. Tossed out of settlement

4 Get challenged to a duel, roll a D6
. 1 You get slaughtered. Pay 1D6x25xBL to winner and 1D6x30 to be patched up.
. 2 You get soundly thrashed. Pay 1D6x25xBL to winner.
. 3 You fight evenly till he uses a dirty trick on you, seriously hurting you and putting you in the hospital for 1D6 days. After much debate the nobles decide the trick was not fair and the duelist must pay your hospital expenses while in the hospital.
. 4 You fight to a draw with honor being satisfied.
. 5 After a long fight you win by points. Getting the 1D6x10xBL purse.
. 6 You win big. Getting the 1D6x10xBL purse and a random treasure item.

5 Have a fun time hob nobbing with the rich and eating their food.

6 Go on a hunt with the nobility in the local forest. roll D6
. 1 Get lost in the forest. Meet fellow warriors at the next adventure.
. 2 While hunting you accidentally kill a noble's warhorse as he charges in front of you. Pay 1000gp to replace it.
. 3 Spend time running around the forest. Nothing happens.
. 4 Impress the nobles with your hunting skill. They gift you a Fur Cloak (see treasure item) and pay the rest of your living expenses for your stay.
. 5 Stop a rampaging boar from injuring a noble. Gifted a random treasure item.
. 6 Found a small shrine in a clearing. Making a offering of 50xBL of gold will allow the warrior to make a roll on any temple chart with a +/-1 modifier.

7 A noble offers you 1D6x10xBL in gold for a monsters head (roll to find out which monster head he wants.) from your next adventure.

8 You hear stories about a rare treasure at the end of the next dungeon. Draw a extra treasure card in the objective room.

9 You have impressed a visiting High Priest. Roll a 1D4+2 on the temple chart as he blesses you.

10 A visiting Swordmaster is willing to teach you +1 WS for a cost of 1D6x100x(WS+1), and 1D6 days of intensive training.

11 You save the life of the Host as he's choking on some food. Awarded up to 1000gp in random treasure items. (Selling these items in the settlement is a show of 'bad taste'.)

12 Save a visiting Duke from a assassin. Rewarded with one objective room treasure that your character can use (roll till a item your character can use comes up.).
