Custom Dungeon Event: Snotling Fever!

Snotling Fever!

A sneaky little Snotling starts to follow the Warriors, but every time it gets close enough for them to do something about it, the green little creature sneezes!

The sneezing little Snotling will follow the Warriors from a distance, always stopping just outside the doorway by which the nearest Warrior(s) enter a board section. Once at the beginning of each turn, the Snotling pokes its head through the doorway and sneezes a very powerful sneeze! It then pulls its head back out of the Warrior's board section and hides out of sight. Draw a Warrior counter to see which Warrior is affected by the sneeze this turn. Then roll 1D6 to see how the Warrior is affected.

1. The Warrior is now sure that he has caught 'Snotling Fever'! Whether he is paranoid or really has caught something, for the next Combat, this Warrior is at -1 to hit all monsters with both melee and missile weapons. If the same Warrior is so affected by 'Snotling Fever' more than once (rolling a 1) before the next Combat, then the effects are cumulative (-2 to hit, -3 to hit, and so on).
2. The Snotling sneezes on a random piece of clothing, armour or other item which the Warrior is wearing. The Warrior MUST immediately remove this item, spending the entire turn doing nothing but doing his best to wipe it off and clean it as best he can (though moving is allowed unless he must remove body armour). Any benefit that the item would normally give the Warrior cannot be counted during this turn. If it is body armour, then he cannot put it back on until next turn, causing the Warrior to lose its benefit for both turns!
3. The Snotling sneezes so loudly that the Warrior cringes and gives out a yell of surprise and agitation, immediately drawing the attention of nearby monsters. Draw Event Cards until a Monster Event is drawn (and shuffle the other cards back into the deck), OR roll on the current monster table for the Adventure, or special Unexpected Monster Event table (if one is being used). The Warriors must now fight a Combat all because of the silly Snotling's sneeze! The Warriors will get treasure as normal from the Monster Event. If an Ogre is the Warrior that is so startled by the sneeze, then the Warriors get TWO Monster Events instead of one!
4. The Warrior whips his head out of the path of the sneeze only to bump a loose stone in the wall. A pouch of gold is revealed in the place from which the stone fell. Roll 1D3 X 25 for how much gold the Warrior finds in the pouch.
5. "What was that?" The Warrior says as he thinks the Snotling tried to say something while it was sneezing. The Snotling, however, has already disappeared back into the darkness, until his next sneeze or until it is cured. Finally, the Warrior is able to puzzle out the words -- the others hear him whispering to himself... "Snare.. Snares.. Snare's it... There's it!..." He translates as best he can from the Snotling's sneeze-twisted language and comes up with a close approximate: "There it is!" "There what is?" Finally, he looks in the direction the Snotling was looking when it last sneezed and finds a treasure hidden in a small chest next to the wall. Take one Treasure Card. This treasure, if it is usable in the dungeon for any purpose, will function as normal for the rest of the dungeon (or Adventure). However, afterwards it loses its ability(ies). Also, whether it was usable or not, it is only worth one-fourth of its original sell value.
6. The sneeze catches the Warrior off guard and he immediately begins to feel... oblivious to pain. For the next Combat, this Warrior will not feel as much pain from the blows, missiles and even spells which hit him! No matter what the source of damage during the next Combat, the Warrior so affected by 'Snotling Fever' will ignore 3 wounds which he would otherwise suffer (-3 from every instance and type of damage that is inflicted, even against those which normally ignore some or all modifiers). Additional results of 6 for the same Warrior will have no further effect in the same Combat, BUT instead the effect will last through a number of Combats equal to the number of times this result is gained.

The Snotling will hide during combat and NOT sneeze into the Warrior's board section until the beginning of the next non-combat turn. During any non-combat turn in which the Power Phase dice roll is a natural 6, the Snotling is mysteriously cured of 'Snotling Fever' and scurries off to tell its relatives of its strange experiences while so ill. Who knows whether they will believe it! Note that for some reason the Winds of Magic cannot seem to heal the Snotling while there is combat nearby.
