posticon Chronicles Warhammer Quest Site: Digging It Up!

It seems to work great by pasting the following url into ]The Wayback Time Machine

I am now in the slow process of saving each page to my computer. Once I get everything I can, I plan to temporarily host some or all of the Chronicles files on my own site -- unless/until that site is properly restored to the Internet. emoticon

EDIT 1: I don't think there would be any type of problem for me to do this -- definitely not copyrighted material. emoticon

EDIT 2: It is difficult for me to reconstruct everything, but I might be able to get 80 to 90% of it at least.

I might be able to fill in some of the room blanks as I have a partial print of the Lustria tiles printed out.

I'll need to check what I have though and the quality will probably be lower than it was originally through printer loss.

Thanks for offering. I think that would be a last resort though -- because of the reduction of original quality from printing and then scanning.

I am hoping that someone has the original files saved and can contribute them.

Anyway, this is a much larger project than I had at first thought. The Chronicles site had A LOT of stuff! emoticon

By a 'Partial Print Quality' I also meant rebuilt renditions of the cards I made like the following (working from the original images from Kurt Helborg and Ron Shirtz's sites and retouching the colours/lighting here and there).

Apologies for the size of the images following (I did shrink them a little, I have the originals on my HD at correct resolution):

Using the unedited version of last one (and it's corridor version) I can reconstitute all the sandstone passages and rooms.

Unfortunately I don't have anything for the unique art cards like the shaft, those are the ones that I could only provide in scanned format.

I do have all the originals for the Norse/Ice Tiles including the originals and minor border and lighting touch up versions I did of them (as follows).

Those all look really good.

I will have to see which of the originals I have and which I do not -- not sure what all I downloaded before...

I am really behind on this project right now, having some other projects going at the same time.

I will try to get back to you and let you know whether I need all of the originals or just certain ones...

Sure, shoot me a message on here when you're looking to move forward. I've got about a Gig of WHQ material sifted from the net and created/adapted myself available to help plug the gaps.

Depending on what all you have, I might be interested in hosting some of your custom things on my Old Warrior's Stronghold site. I do not host official materials for the public -- for Intellectual Property reasons.

Ok, just let me know. I know it's a hard line to tread, those Lustria tiles are based on old long OOP Advanced Heroquest tiles, so technically they sort of infringe on IP. Fortunately I own originals of those tiles.

Anyway, I've managed to do everything except for the Astral Shaft and the Saurus Spawning Caves - I found the original tiles from Ron Shirtz, but they were modified to work for WHQ and I have no idea what they looked like afterwards. Anyone able to assist on these last two items? Otherwise it's off to scratch build them.

On another note, very happy with my redone Skink Spawning Pool. The original just had a black area in the middle.
