Warriors Dying! And, the Ogre's Single Attack

Since I have stated on this forum that I think the iOS version of WHQ is too easy, let me now sort of retract that statement.

I HAVE lost several Warrior parties while playing this game. One of those was a 4 to 5 level party, and they had a Hammer of Sigmar -- one of three that I have found so far. That Hammer of Sigmar is lost forever now!

I just yesterday and today suffered the loss of FOUR level 8 Warriors! Two of them died yesterday. Then while helping two brand new Warriors, a Wizard and an Ogre, my level 8 Marauder and level 8 Warrior Priest died along with them. They too lost a Hammer of Sigmar! - along with a good bit of other really nice treasures and equipment.

The Wizard and Ogre were at level 2 or 3 by that time. This party was slain by Venomous Giant Spiders, a single Venomous Gigantic Spider, Savage Orc Big 'Uns, and three Savage Orcs with Bows! Their real undoing was that they were just a little spread out, and the Marauder and Ogre kept getting webbed over and over again!

By the way, I could not help but notice that the Ogre Irongut (full Warrior type name) only gets a single Attack all the way up to Battle-level 8. My experience so far with his skills is does not seem to warrant such a huge limitation on his standard number of Attacks, especially seeing that some of the skills actually use up that Attack when they are used. The Ogre skills I have experienced so far are, Might Swing (the one he starts with), Crush Skulls (or something like that, that Ogre is dead now!), Ogre Charge, and Pulp. The only one that gives him an extra attack (of sorts) is Pulp.

If I am not mistaken, I have just discovered that the game has a bug. When I leveled up an Ogre to Battle-Level 3, the game said that his Melee Attacks went from 1 to 2, but the actual change to the stat on the Ogre character did NOT happen. So, it seems they did not intend to only give the Ogre 1 Attack all the way to level 8!

EDIT: Perhaps I was mistaken, because I just now leveled an Ogre up to BL 3 and he only gained +1 Weapon Skill and + 1D6 Wounds.

Re: I did it again!

Yup, I recently lost another entire party of Warriors, who were near to their maximum Battel-levels. In this game it seems most likely that my party of Warriors will die somewhere between levels 6 and 8, and it is usually death by spiders and their webs combined with other nasty monsters. The other thing that often gets me is disabling monster magic spells.

This most recent lost party's composition was: Waywatcher, Shadow Warrior, Bright Wizard, and Witch Hunter. I was majoring on killing monsters from a distance.

An incidental tragedy is that sometimes I forget that a certain Necromancer has removed one of my
Warriors from the board with that mean Crystal Gaze spell. In such a case I sometimes get carried away with killing monsters and take out the Necromancer, and I hear the sound of a Warrior dying, look about and say, "Uh oh, I just killed one of my own Warriors by killing that Necromancer!"
