Ehstevey, you have never had a Slayer character, have you?
I say this with confidence due to your last paragraph.
The rune axe's card rapidly becomes completely useless as the Slayer works with the runesmiths from the Guildmasters and the Slayer Shrine (and this mess does not even "pour" runic treasures into the mix).
All of the modifications the rune axe undergoes (nine different runes if you only count the runes from those two sources which all but one can be had in meaningful multiples) has to be kept track of in the Notes area of the Adventure Sheet.
You could make up your own card, but the rune axe could change by as many as three runes every time between adventures; that sounds like a lot of extra mindless meaningless work; especially so since some of the runes are permanent while others are only good for a single adventure.

I have, and what I found works is just getting some scotch tape (or magic tape depending on what era everyone comes from) and sticking little tabs with the current rune bonuses to the back sticking out the side (left for temporary, right for permanent.

I've been working on a series of small Trollslayer rune tokens (permanent and temporary) to deal with this which should be finished sometime next week actually emoticon

Just working on the sizing so when it prints out you can fit exactly 3 snugly alongside the card to keep it neat.

A list with descriptions in the Notes area on the Adventure Record Sheet works beautifully for me and the other players I know who run Slayers.
Then again, we all have scanned the Adventure Record Sheet into the computer and use several text boxes in WordPerfect Presentations to put our data on the sheet for all of our characters, not just the Slayer.

This way there is not endless erasing that will mess up the sheet and the font can be easily adjusted when there is too much information for standard size font (12) or for legible handwriting.
Additionally, there are no fiddly-bits to deal with and/or lose and no adhesives to gum up our cards with.
But this is just the system that works well for us here, and the players I have played with out East.

Interesting, interesting.
I have contradictory FAQs...

There have been contradictory rulings about GW games before, Blood Bowl's being the most famous.
Recordings on the WEB of Jervis Johnson saying one thing about something at one venue and then contradicting himself at a later event...

Why is it there are always errors, if the posting is longer than 50 words, that you never see until after you have posted?

Hmmm...

I have just two comments.

1. In reference to a person contradicting himself, I have found myself ruling one way one time and then in a contradictory way another time, having forgotten my previous ruling on the same issue. It is even more embarrassing when a player in a game I GM points this out to me. I then remember and acknowledge my mistake, of course.

I think this is more prevalent with a certain type of personality. In my case, in addition to the fact of forgetfulness, I am a constant self-critic -- often doubting myself and double-checking and triple-checking my own work -- and I also like to argue both sides, or several sides, of an issue in order to come at a more thorough treatment of it. By the way, and as a result of this, I find and correct my own mistakes at work more often than I have to correct mistakes that others catch me making.

2. About having to edit one's post(s) in a forum, yes, this happens to me vey often. Why? I am not entirely sure, but maybe it is easier to see our typos and etc. with the shaded background instead of just text on white in the text entry box.

EDIT: And then I remembered, while posting to another topic, that we have the "Preview" feature here, which does show how the post will look once it is submitted. Oh well, life for many of us is a constant work of editing, and editing again! emoticon

I use preview.
There is just something about an actual posting that causes me to see errors I do not see otherwise.
Just strange ol' me.
