Training
Greetings! My first post here. I love reading this forum and it has been of great help many times. I am currently playing using btgm and originally posted this question over there. I am just wondering how people play it when it comes to training. According to the original game, some warriors train at their special locations, while the original 4 go to the “training grounds”. Do you consider the training grounds as special locations that have to be found? Rules state that they can only be found in towns or cities so I am inclined to say yes. Also, for those who train at their special location, like the chaos warrior, can they combine training with a visit? All thoughts appreciated! Thank you!

Re: Training
No, the Training Grounds are not a Special Location. The Warrior merely has to say that he's going to the Training Grounds to begin his week-long training.
Since you can only visit a Special Location once during a Settlement (except in certain case), yes, Warriors can combine their training and other things they do there during one visit (such as the Chaos Warrior).

Re: Training
interesting point. I have always played it "once per settlement visit" and thought for some warriors it could act like a balancing point actually.
chaos warrior you can level up OR pray in the temple to get rid of that horrible atrophy your god cursed you with/try to merge two artefacts.
witch hunter you can level up OR try to recharge your amulets (actually a hard decision)
but later I merged them into the same thing so both can be done in one visit.
however I do not allow a witch hunter to level up, recharge his amulets and THEN try to get help so get (potentially) a third roll on the benefits of training table!
--- most of my posts may run into essay length. I find that for a lot of queries/feedback context is important and that is why this happens more often than not.
have a great day :D

The Witch Hunter's rules actually make that clear I think -- something about "between training" visits. I am in agreement with you.
By the way, I am back into Warhammer Quest in a limited fashion. I think my main trouble was that I was too obsessed with it. It had become an idol in my life.
