Backing card for board sections

I am looking to mount my white dwarf paper cut-out board sections on some thick card so they are the same thickness as the game's board section.

I have found some [sign in to see URL] thick greyboard which looks like it will do the job. But I was wondering if anyone can recommend anything else? How do you mount your cut-out and print-out board sections?

Thanks!

Welcome TheZombieSquig!

The only material that seems to be close to what you are speaking of is mat board that is used here by artists and presenters.

Is that what greyboard is?
I know here in the States mat board is white or black core.
Never heard of grey core.

Also in the States, mat board comes commonly is either 3/16 or 1/4 of an inch thickness.
Sorry, do not have a SI/metric conversion table handy.

I use lots of other solutions for mapping personally.
I only use the original WhQ tiles for intro games.
Otherwise, I use mapping by Heroic Maps, Skeleton Key Games, Lord Zsezse Works and Paizo Games.
Some of these companies' products are tiles which can be adapted to WhQ Dungeon-style cards, which I do mount the map pieces on 3/16 mat board.
Others are just used printed out large enough for toy soldiers to be on for table-top maps as if the leader of the party is reading a held map and leading the party forth, and I uncover portions as the party gets within view of the area.

I hope any of this is helpful.
I have been up a very long time; it is 4am here (GMT-7).

Hi Warrior Monk, thanks for all the info.

Greyboard is just something I found on amazon which looked about right in the pictures, I think its just very thick card. I haven't ordered any yet. I'll check out your suggestions, thanks.
