Different Formations
So I just read latest EdQuest post and wondered what formation they used for Quirrek's Laboratory Objective room. I was going to respond in thread, but didn't want to derail it.
I think most people are fans of the basic square formation in most situations. I often favour an 'L' formation and have found it gaining popularity.
However, some objective rooms are much more tricky, particularly with multiple levels. Quirrek's Laboratory is one in particular that often stumps me (it has different multiple level rules to the standard ones for Gorgut's Lair and The Dread Kings Throne Room). So do you guys have any good formations for:
Quirrek's Laboratory
Gorgut's Lair
The Fighting Pit (may depend your interpretation of how the levels work in this room)
The Tomb Chamber
The Firechasm (gain may depend on your understanding of Monster utilising the bridge)
The Den of Desire
Any others
In general I do what I can (boots of leaping are great) to get the high ground early).

i get as many people into the best positions as possible. it's a harsh room to be fair, but anyone with Leap or similar is laughing.
i find Gorguts Lair is worse actually.
tend to separate the warriors as possible because it gives better coverage for attacks to target spell casting enemies and maximise deathblows.
it can depend on party composition too: my party has 3 people with reaction strike skill in it!
if we have one or more high Toughness and Armour stats then they try to gain more attackers by being the ones in the most exposed areas.
