posticon Warrior Priest's Blessings

Of the initial three, I can see no use of 'Call of the Brave' which gives a re-roll which is not duplicated and improved upon in 'Vanquish' which gives an extra attack. The only possible case where it might be of more use is with a weapon that can only be used once or for one attack per turn like a ranged weapon or Frostblade. Still, I think that it's pretty useless. Does anyone use it, or do we all swap it for something else at the first chance?

Just something that has been irritating me for a while now.

I think it can be useful for certain "one attack" skills like Grapple for the Barbarian or Mighty Blow or Blood-fever for the Dwarf.

On second thought, forget Blood-fever. Now that's something I don't see a use for. Trade in all your attacks for a single attack with no to hit or damage bonusses, with only the "benefit" to move forward when you kill an opponent with the attack to do the same attack again to another opponent? Now THAT's useless...

I agree with you on this one, Thecustodian. I try to encourage players in my GMed games to trade that blessing in for another -- as is allowed by the WP's rules, but they don't usually and then they never seem to use "Call of the Brave". I think, what a waste of available blessings!

Then again, if you had an elf player along that was reluctant to get into melee fighting, that re-roll could help. Or, even on general principle, it could be useful to re-roll a ranged attack versus a nasty and hard to reach shaman.

Side note (on Sudden Real's comment on the Trollslayer): It seems that Blood Fever makes the Trollslayer to act almost like a BL 1 Wardancer with only one attack. LOL However, I DO see this as useful for a trollslayer who may be in tight quarters, cannot break from pinning, and yet desires to attack a nice lineup of mosnters. If he has 3 or 4 attacks, but can only kill one wimpy skeleton for instance, while a mummy stands three skeletons back down the line, Blood Fever could enable him to kill three skeletons (if he hits each one) AND get an attack against the mummy as well.
