Play Warhammer Quest online
Dear friends of Warhammer Quest,
I am currently working on an ambitious project : Play online at Warhammer Quest with your web browser. The game will be asynchrous and you need a GM to manage many things.
If you want to test the interface, you must use Internet Explorer
Launch Internet Explorer
Go to http://matosquest.free.fr/online/form.php
User : test
Password : test
By the way this is a version of the last week and you’re on the power phase
The site will be only compatible with Internet Explorer
I have already two main testers : Andrew from chronicle and Peter (Custodian) but I need feedbacks and help.
For the moment I am working on the most difficult part : magic item, weapons and armour. Once this one is finish, the rest will be a piece of cake.
I am looking for help.
- php programmer. The project will goes faster
- javascript : I don’t know anything, a programmer can help a lot by writing little script for the interface.
- an excel man : made some table (treasures, event…)
- a surfer : I need good mini pictures (the size must be 28*38 in GIF) to represent monsters on the map
- a photoshop man : it’s job will be to resize monsters and to find cool icons and made avatars
(like my old site http://modhomm3.free.fr).
- a title: I don’t want to use “warhammer quest” on the title
- some feedbacks

Hey Bruno,
I just tried it for a moment, and I must say, it looks promising. Everything seems easy and user-friendly. My only remark however is that maybe you also put some button to erase monsters since that seems to be currently lacking (for monsters with Break for instance). The rest seems to be in order (well, in my opinion of course, others may find things I overlooked).
Wish I could help you with the technical stuff, but personally, I think it's quite an achievement I found the reply button.
Anyway, keep up the good work, and don't worry, before you know it, you'll be posting times to play on this site.

To erase a monster, you must wait the next update.
Don't forget that for the moment you're in the power phase, not the monster or warrior's phase. The menu will change.
For my part the most urgent is good mini pictures to represent monsters on the map. If you want you can begin by LV1 table.

I have some pictures of warriors that could be easily resized. I'll have a look on the Games Workshop site to see if there are any I can nab of monsters.
Is that 28x38 pixels?

Wow - just when i start contacting hosting companies so that i can get back into continuing with my online game - i see this thread - LOL 
Nice one Bruno.
I've made an interface and several images so far from scans and photoediting - im off to bed now but I'll email you 2 sample images before i go to bed.
If they are any good please let me know and i can make them smaller.

Hmm, I'll troll for help at eyeplaygames, since they've done something similar. If you want this game to be played by many people, you'll have to change the images as well as the monsters. If you want to keep it private, might as well call it WHQ Online or something.

For the moment I am not working on the looking. It'll be easy to work on the look later. The most important is the mechanism. The goal of the game is to play with our little communauty.I don't plan to go to chicago but I'll be happy to play with you on the net event the game is during six months. But one thing of course I want a cool game with cool graphism. For the moment you have access to a dev version.

ive just saved the images as separate names of just each monster and have just sent them over to you.
(they are all lest than 20k each jpg).
If you need them a different size etc just let me know and i be back in about 90 minutes

Thanks a lot for the pictures. I'll resize myself if needed
I hope to update the PBEM site tomorrow with more extensive tests and news.
I found the algorythm for the special rules but I must work on the database. Next week I must have a break to work on the museum because I received many never published rules.
