Frozen Games

Dear Players,

Do you have frozen games (eg a game stops because a player doesn't log since a long time)?

I think we can put a system if a player don't warn we can ask another player to "adopt" this warrior? What is the maximum time to submitt order for you?
What do you think?

Bruno

I would think that unless a player states he/she will be away for a set amount of time, a three day period should be plenty enough to let the GM move the character and allow the character to be 'adopted' after seven days.

Well, that depends. When I check on friday and it's not my turn yet and later that day it becomes my turn without me knowing it, means that if I leave for the weekend I'm out of the game on monday?!?

I think a week (without notice) is ok.

I wonder...

Yeah, it's a tricky concept. Certainly have some hard rules, but the GM should perhaps have the final yes or no. And also, access to the emails of his/her players???

I might say 20 days for final takeover. 3 days for the GM to move him, more than three for GM to let another player in the game take the model temporarily (or keep moving him if easier) and yeah, 20 days to turn over control.

At the moment something like half of the games I am involved with are 'frozen'. So something would be nice. Perhaps we should first offer the characters to new players?

Re: Frozen Games

Here's my idea
Okay If the player has not loggued since 15 days. The GM can ask another player to adopt the Warrior. The Warrior can be adopted in the joining room. The only requirement is not to be already in the game.
The remaining is at the discretion of the GM (write, ask, play for him).

It's need a bit of the works but if half of the games of Peter are frozen, I'll work on it immediately after the update of the museum.

I'll add email of Player
I'll add an information about last action of the game.
I'll work on a page to check easily if games are frozen.
The move module is nearly finished and will speed up a lot the games.

What do you think?

To Custodian
Could you make a list of Games, Warrior, Player for the Frozen Games?
We will ask adoption in a first time in this forum.

One other point...

What about games that are frozen because the GM has not been involved for a long time. Should the characters be freed to play in a different game after a certain amount of time? I would think one month would be OK unless the GM gives advance notice.
