"Fawning" would describe too many of the posters; as in FFG can do no wrong. "Gag me with a spoon" is my response to that foolish trash. As to the card game, these responses have turned me off. May not bother to buy in now.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Warrior Monk)Wed, 12 Aug 2015 19:59:51 +0000 Re: Fantasy Flight Gameshttps://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p562805,from=rss#post562805https://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p562805,from=rss#post562805Well, Warrior Monk, with Fantasy Flight Games almost everything is a secret until the game is released, or unless they reveal it themselves. So, I cannot divulge anything that FFG has not themselves revealed. Part of what I mean by I like what I see is the graphics on the cards. Another part is that what I have read so far seems to indicate that this game will be more like the original game than I had anticipated. Most of my eagerness is because I sort of liked the game while play testing, BUT, I am eager to see the improvements they made after my involvement with the project. I cannot say what has changed (not supposed to tell), don't even know all the changes for that matter, but it just seems better than I remember, ALSO, I can see where this card game might help to create interest in more potential WHQ players. It would be much easier to set up and play a card game like this than the full WHQ in all its glory. I can even see myself playing this game at McDonalds with some of my Magic-playing buddies. EDIT: Well, if played at McDonalds, I would probably want a padded box in which to roll the dice. EDIT 2: Oh, the proper term I guess is dice tray. I have one in mind (that is available on eBay) that is about 7 inches square and has a one-inch border.nondisclosed_email@example.com (OldWarrior)Sat, 01 Aug 2015 22:08:52 +0000 Re: Fantasy Flight Gameshttps://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p562804,from=rss#post562804https://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p562804,from=rss#post562804"really like what I see" "eager" Okay Old Warrior, I am not asking for any game secrets, but I am curious about these quotes. With all of what WHQ has been and the experiences it has fostered over the last 20 years, what makes this new game where you would use the above words?nondisclosed_email@example.com (Warrior Monk)Sat, 01 Aug 2015 21:59:28 +0000 Re: Fantasy Flight Gameshttps://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p562803,from=rss#post562803https://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p562803,from=rss#post562803I actually had the rare opportunity -- rare for me anyway -- of being one of the solo play testers for this game. Therefore, I have to be careful what I say, but I really like what I see of this game so far. To compare it with the original WHQ, well, it's a card game, so it would naturally have some trouble competing with it, but I am eager to get a copy and play the final version of it. Also, Games Workshop was very specific on what could and could not be done with this game, limiting how much it could be like the original. I don't say this in a derogatory fashion, but rather to help people understand if it does not quite measure up to a typical WHQer's high expectations. nondisclosed_email@example.com (OldWarrior)Sat, 01 Aug 2015 21:55:33 +0000 Fantasy Flight Gameshttps://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p562802,from=rss#post562802https://bwarhammerquest.runboard.com/p562802,from=rss#post562802Looks like GW has ducked out on WHQ. They signed it over to FFG. Take a gander. WHQ card game Note terribly pleased, but it is more than I was expecting. What say y'all?nondisclosed_email@example.com (Warrior Monk)Sat, 01 Aug 2015 07:09:24 +0000
